Discipleship Training

DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING
Sundays, 5:30-6:30 P.M.

During each season of the church year, a new unit of Discipleship Training is offered to our church family. The Fall Unit runs from mid-September through the end of November. The Spring Unit begins in mid-January and concludes by the middle of May.

During these units of Discipleship Training, we offer several different study options for preschool, children, students, and adults to choose from. Some of these options include the following examples:

  • A Core Study - Each Sunday night, a core study will be offered for those adults who want to participate in a discipleship class that requires no advanced preparation. Topics addressed in these classes will include Bible studies, church history, Baptist history, studies of various Christian doctrines, and basic spiritual formation.

  • Ongoing Classes - Some classes use programmed texts (such as Experiencing God or one the Beth Moore studies). These classes, which require more advanced preparation and a more involved commitment, will meet for 12-13 weeks.

  • "Target Audience" Classes - A variety of classes will be offered to address the specific needs and interests of various groups or "target audiences" in the church. These "target audiences" include men, ladies, families, parents of various age groups, single adults, church committee members, new Christians, single parents, organization leaders and teachers, senior adults, and mission groups, just to name a few.

During the Summer Unit of Discipleship Training (June through August), we offer a 12 week special interest course for adults.  This course is taught church-wide and allows our dedicated teachers to have a break from teaching in order to participate and be recharged.

Join us for Discipleship Training at Tate- we'll learn and have fun while we grow closer to the Lord!
